Webfork: Terrific for helping to create a greater sense of space on smaller monitors (like laptops). The best program available for multiple desktops on Windows reduces clutter, separates tasks, and allows you to manage large, multi-window projects. Extremely configurable to suit your tastes, so make sure you do some minor configuration tweaks to make it suit your preferences. Another great example of the power of open source software.

Virtual Desktop Fan: @bjasspa: Does the portable zip version support unicode for you? I can’t seem to get that to work in the zip version. By the way, this project is really coming along well and the developer is very open to helping and developing solutions to users suggestions and problems.
